CONDITIONS

Any expenses resulting from loss, theft or damage, including fees for the issuance and forwarding of a duplicate certificate and the publication of an announcement in the BOE, are the responsibility of the person requesting the forwarding service.

The person submitting this request must ensure that all information that appears on the certificate is accurate before signing it. If any of the information is incorrect, they have the right to refuse the certificate.

DATA PROTECTION

In accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), we inform you that your personal data will be processed by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the data controller, for the purpose to forward your PhD certificate to a Spanish Embassy, Spanish Consulate, Government Delegation or Government Sub-delegation. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is your consent, under the terms of Article 6.1.a of the GDPR. To execute your request, it is essential that the UAB transfers your personal identification data, as well as the destination data, to the courier company contracted for this purpose. Apart from the aforementioned cases, the UAB will not transfer your personal data to third parties or other recipients without your consent, except in the cases provided for by law or when it is mandatory, and your data will not be subject to international transfer. The processing of your personal data does not involve automated decision-making, or the creation of predictive profiles of personal preferences, behaviours or attitudes. In accordance with the provisions of current legislation on the protection of personal data, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability by sending a request to the data controller (ed.titols@uab.cat), or to the UAB General Secretariat (sec.general@uab.cat), accompanying the request with a copy of your ID card or any other document that identifies you. You can also file complaints with the Catalan Data Protection Authority (https://apdcat.gencat.cat/ca/drets_i_obligacions/reclamar_i_denunciar/) and consult the UAB Data Protection Officer (proteccio.dades@uab.cat).
